7th Grade News

school year. Although we are in our last month of school, 7th graders are still busy learning in all subjects. We know that the nice weather is upon us and summer vacation is just around the corner, but we all still have a great deal of work to complete. We still need to continue to have students complete homework and be prepared for class everyday. Coming up during our last weeks of school the seventh grade team is looking forward to our trip to the Bronx Zoo. Also the of teachers are planning an exciting cross-curricular unit where we will take our students on a virtual trip back to Ancient Greece.  There will be classroom activities, a presentation about Ancient Greece, culminating in a version of the Ancient Olympic Games and   performances of 8 short Greek plays!  It will be a novel and interesting way to end our seventh grade year and students will be engaged until our last day of school. Supply list for seventh grade team:  Bobala, Chlanda, Di Silvio,, McGibbon·          3 – 1” binders·          1 ruler (centimeters and inches)·          #2 pencils (enough to last the year)·          Pens (blue or black ink) (enough to last the year)·          Colored pencils (12 pack is sufficient)·          pencil box or bag·          hand held pencil sharpener·          erasers or pencil top erasers·          single subject notebook ·          2-2 pocket folder (Social Studies &health class)·          Notebook dividers (at least 3 packages of 5 dividers)·          Notebook paper (not college ruled) (enough to last the year)·           2  Marbled composition book (one for ELA and one for Science)·          simple inexpensive calculator·          highlighters·          reinforcements for notebook paper·          book covers (not self-adhesive because they damage the books)·          earphones (to be used in computer lab)·          dictionary or thesaurus for home use   Supply list for seventh grade team: Bogacz,, Drobiak, Turcotte, Wheatley·          4 – 1” binders (3 ring style)·          1 ruler (centimeters and inches)·          #2 pencils (enough to last the year)·          Pens (blue or black ink) (enough to last the year)·          Colored pencils (12 pack is sufficient)·           Thin Colored markers (8 pack is sufficient)·          pencil box or bag·          2 pocket folder (health class)·          earphones (to be used in computer lab)·          hand held pencil sharpener·          erasers or pencil top erasers·          Notebook dividers (at least 4 packages of 5 dividers)·          Notebook paper (not college ruled) (enough to last the year)·          2-Marbled composition book  (one for ELA and one for Science)·          simple calculator·          highlighters·          reinforcements for notebook paper·          1 large paper grocery bag (to cover book)·          dictionary or  thesaurus for home usePlease note that Target, CVS, Staples, Walmart, etc. have wonderful sales and are less expensive during the summer months.
